Why I’m Expanding to Portland — and Still Holding Space for Virginia Beach

Hi friend,

If you’ve been walking this path with me, you know I don’t make big transitions lightly — especially ones that impact the people I care for most.

A year ago, I officially launched Alis Family Psychiatry in Oregon, to offer care that honors your story, your background, and the whole of who you are.
At the same time, I was also providing care in Virginia Beach, where I’ve served patients over the past few years as a contracted provider.

Now, I’m taking the next big step:
I’m opening a fully independent Virginia Beach branch of Alis Family Psychiatry.

Why This Move Matters
This isn’t about leaving something behind — it’s about bringing everything full circle.
While Oregon was the birthplace of Alis, Virginia Beach has long been a meaningful part of my clinical journey.

After several years of offering care within another local practice, I’ve decided to create a dedicated Alis Family Psychiatry location in Virginia Beach — giving patients access to the same mission-driven, heart-centered care I’ve offered in the Pacific Northwest.

What This Means for You
• You can continue your care with me at Alis Family Psychiatry, Virginia Beach.
• We’ll offer both in-person and telehealth options to meet your needs.
• If you’ve seen me locally before, this will be a seamless continuation of your care — just under the Alis name and with a few more personalized touches.

We’re also planning to expand our service offerings to include family medicine support, building integrative care options in Virginia Beach and Oregon in the future. Our goal? To treat the whole person, not just the diagnosis.

Same Mission, New Chapter

At its core, Alis Family Psychiatry remains guided by the same values that inspired it from day one:
• Compassionate, inclusive care
• A safe space for healing and growth
• Accessible support that evolves with your life

Whether you’re in Oregon, Virginia Beach, or anywhere in between, I’m honored to walk this journey with you.

With care,
Tina Matthews-Hayes, DNP, CRNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC
Founder, Alis Family Psychiatry ❤️
